{"id":78,"date":"2014-03-02T11:27:37","date_gmt":"2014-03-02T18:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stcharlesedm.com\/?page_id=78"},"modified":"2014-03-02T11:56:22","modified_gmt":"2014-03-02T18:56:22","slug":"sharing-the-journey","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/ministries\/sharing-the-journey\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharing the Journey"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 id=\"sites-page-title-header\" align=\"left\">Sharing the Journey<\/h3>\n<div id=\"sites-canvas-main\">\n<div id=\"sites-canvas-main-content\">\n<table cellspacing=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\n<p><strong><i>\u201cWe Wish to See Jesus.\u201d \u00a0<\/i>John 12,21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Today, as two thousand years ago, we long to see the face of Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0Each one has his or her own reason:\u00a0\u00a0some are in need of healing like Bartimaeus, the blind man of Jericho who shouted after Jesus until the disciples brought him to Jesus (Mark 10:46-52); some out of curiosity like Zacchaeus, who climbed a tree to see Jesus because he was short in stature (Luke 19:2-10); some to hear his word like the crowd that pressed in on him to hear the word of God by the Lake of Gennesaret (Luke 5:1-10); some out of love and to look after him like Mary. \u00a0<\/span>Today, many people search the face of Christ daily in their lives.\u00a0\u00a0Some, find it easy to recognize God\u2019s footsteps on their journey.\u00a0\u00a0Some, struggle or are unable to get near Jesus because of many reasons. Some, will never get to know the face of Christ unless we bring them to Jesus.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Each one of us, through the virtue of our Baptism, is called to open our eyes and notice the many people around us who, for whatever reason, are alienated or distant from Christ and the Church.\u00a0 It\u2019s up to us to step out of our comfort zones and reach out to one another and bring ourselves and the people around us closer to Christ. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In our Parish Community, we have a chance to come together at Eucharist \u2013 a Banquet set up for us by Christ, who welcomes the rich and the poor, the famous and the unknown, the saints and sinners.\u00a0 But what about the people who don\u2019t come to share with us because\u00a0<\/span>no one has approached or invited them?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Let us pray that we have the courage to be disciples who go out and touch one another with Christ\u2019s love and compassion \u2013 disciples who constantly invite others to see the face of Christ.\u00a0 Please, let the people around you know about the \u201cSharing The Journey\u201d process, which will begin in January.\u00a0 Ask them to call for more information and\/or register. \u00a0<\/span>May our loving Christ embrace each and every one of us with healing and peace.\u00a0\u00a0May we be the hands of Christ, the feet of Christ, the eyes of Christ in our time and place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sharing the Journey \u201cWe Wish to See Jesus.\u201d \u00a0John 12,21 Today, as two [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":32,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-78","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/78","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=78"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/78\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":79,"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/78\/revisions\/79"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/32"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/saint-charles.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=78"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
